Inspiration

Trolls, I’m not talking about the mythical cave-dwelling being depicted in folklore as either giant or dwarf, typically having an ugly appearance. Nor am I writing about the cute, cuddly, sweet looking, creatures with brightly coloured hair, in the latest instalment from Dreamworks. I’m talking about Internet Trolls, and although not mythical, what they do share is the commonality of being ugly, from the inside out.

An Internet Troll according to Wikipedia; In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting quarrels or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion, often for the troll’s amusement.

A change of seasons, that’s what sexy this week!  I truly believe I’m very fortunate living where I do in the world. Everyone living here has the pleasure of four distinct weather changes. We have our spring, summer, fall, and winter. Seasons that bring with them a change in air temperature, pressure, sun, rain, plant life; seasons very distinct and unique and full of attitude. Seasons much needed for change to take place and keep the cycle of life going, to hibernate, recharge, re-stimulate, be re-born so to speak.

Ontario, where my family settled after immigrating to Canada is a province that truly has a set of very distinct seasons. Autumns of fire in patches of yellow, orange and red, bright vivid colours across a painted landscape. A rich visual delight, admired by many on long trips to the north. A short display before turning brown and crumbling to dust as the leaves fall to the ground.

Winters white and cold, and snow sparkling like diamonds when the moon hits it just right. Cold air that kisses a face peeking out from a heavily clothed body braving the cold to play in the snow, or glide across sheets of ice. Temperatures just right for the fashion addicted to layer upon layer, clothes they don’t have the opportunity to wear the rest of the year. Clothes none the less they just had to have.

A central point, as of attraction, attention, or activity, to concentrate: to focus one’s thoughts; verb (used without object), focused, focusing or focussed, focussing. To be or become focused.

We need it, we try to do it, we work hard at maintaining it, and struggle very hard to keep it, for the long or short term. With a goal, you need it, it’s not a want, and with it, a certain amount of strength is required to keep it. With your eyes on the prize, you need it, focus, and that’s what sexy this week.

Distraction is easy, and like a bad, if I may be so blunt, FART, it is ever creeping and lingers all the time and everywhere. You hear it, you smell, and sometimes you see it.

I’ll switch gears and use another descriptive, but I think you got the point with the previous 🙂

We all want a positive outcome to everything we do in our lives, no matter what that is. For me and those in my life, be they acquaintances or my close personal friends, those results are of the happy, life affirming kind. The challenges we set for ourselves as human beings in getting from point A to B putting us through it. Without the fear, excitement, and the need, or want to make a change, most will never get there. Making a plan and committing to it, to get to that end point, GOALS, that’s what sexy this week.

In younger years we set them without actually knowing what they are. We go to school, take up sports, get involved in the arts, or take up hobbies, things or actions done because they are for the most part fun. We weren’t actually thinking about what that meant to take on interests and work to a purpose. (more…)

Internet Predators, they are everywhere you turn on the super high way of information we all use now, the world wide web.

They are manipulative, coercive, and down right dangerous. They start off as appearing to be nice, getting to know you, asking all the right questions, leading you on to the point of you thinking they are genuinely interested in what you have to say and offer in the professional world, even in your private world of just being a friend. That doesn’t last long once they have gained your trust and begin to reveal who they really are.

Stupid, idiot, asshole, phobic, moronic, obtuse, shallow, unintellectual, witless, all other words used to describe the word ignorant. A word I much rather prefer to use because it so blatantly, and quite simply says it in one word, IGNORANT! Unfortunately there are a lot of people on the planet that are just that, nothing more, nothing less, just ignorant. Ignorant of those in society that are different from themselves, different, a quality that should be celebrated, coveted, cherished and adored, difference, and that’s what’s sexy this week.

Life isn’t easy for those that are different, trust me I know, I’m faced with adversity each and every day of my life. For the most part I am fairly resilient and can shrug it off, but when someone is in your face with words that cut deeper than a knife, that then leads to actions of a negative kind, it’s hard to turn and walk away.

For me as a woman who just so happens to be transsexual, I love that I am different, and I never thought I would. I was always trying to blend in with the crowd and fade away. However, it didn’t take me long to understand that being out, loud, and proud, was, and is where it’s at!

We all have it, and we all present it, whether you like it or not, are conscious of it, or are in full on denial and trying very hard to suppress it. It comes naturally, and for those in control of it and enjoying it to their full advantage, it’s hot, empowering, and a turn on, sexuality and that’s what sexy this week.

As a woman who is transsexual, I am bombarded daily from, for lack of a better term, “nut-jobs” who are telling me that my presentation of my sexuality married with my sexual self, is a little overt and to tone it down a few notches. Well I have a few choice words for you folks;

Not all of us have it self ingrained, not all of us have what it takes to have someone do it for us or command us the ability to have it, or get it, and I’m not talking about the kind and ultimately with the same underlying context. What I am talking about is discipline, and that’s what’s sexy this week.

Wikipedia, my favourite resource defines it as;
the suppression of base desires, and is usually understood to be synonymous with restraint and self-control. Self-discipline is to some extent a substitute for motivation. Discipline is when one uses reason to determine the best course of action regardless of one’s desires, which may be the opposite of fun. Virtuous behaviour can be described as when one’s values are aligned with one’s aims: to do what one knows is best and to do it gladly. Continent behaviour, on the other hand, is when one does what one knows is best, but must do it by opposing one’s motivations. (more…)

Wikipedia foot fetishism defines foot fetishism as;

If you’re like me, you have an appreciation for pretty much any, and everything, from humanity to the animal kingdom and beyond. Now let me stress, I am talking about appreciation, not sexual attraction in this statement. We all have them whether a person cares to admit it or not, and yes I am talking of the sexual kind. However of the non-sexual kind of which we also have, we’re always sharing those thoughts at every opportunity, but the sexual taboo has most folks tight-lipped about their fantasies for fear of being perceived as deviant. Fantasies, that’s what’s sexy this week.

For most of us with thoughts of your sexual partner all dressed up as a cop acting out the latest big arrest of the century on yourself, it’s a sexual turn on. The reasons why we have fantasies are as greatly varied as there are people on the planet. It’s subject matter that has been studied to death and you’ll find that all the research conducted comes to very different conclusions, and as it should, as we are all different. (more…)
